If you care about your country, you need to understand what is being done to us by the Democrats and leftists in America. I was recently made aware of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. I wish that I had known about them, and him, many years ago.

For decades, I have been telling people that as a teenager in the 1960s and a young adult in the early 1970s, I remember someone from the radical leftist movement saying that, since their call for violent revolution in America had failed, they would enter all of the country's institutions and bring our way of life down from the inside. They have succeeded, and here is how they did it.

They followed the instructions of Saul Alinsky, and adopted his Rules for Radicals. Below is a summary of those rules:

1 – Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.

2 – Never go outside the experience of your people. When an action is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

3 – Wherever possible go outside of the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

4 – Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.

5 – Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.

6 – A good tactic is one that your people enjoy. If your people are not having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.

7 – A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time, after which it becomes a ritualistic commitment.

8 – Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.

9 – The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

10 – The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.

11 – If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative.

12 – The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. you cannot risk being trapped by the enemy in his sudden agreement with your demand and saying "You’re right—we don’t know what to do about this issue. Now you tell us."

13 – Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

This is what the Democrats, leftists, socialists, Marxists, Communists, Progressives, and that ilk have done to our country, and our way of life. Under Barack Hussein Obama, their methodology has gone into overdrive. Read the points above one more time, slowly and carefully--your freedoms, your way of life, your country, and possibly your very life, depend upon counteracting and defeating the Democrats.

We must be aware of their tactics, and fight back. One of the most dangerous areas is public education. I have warned of this for decades.

Get your children or grandchildren out of public schools and into private schools, or better yet, if you are capable, home-school them. The leftists have used the public school system to brainwash our students into embracing the socialist way of life. If you don't get them out of there as soon as possible, the poison of the leftists will have left its mark.

Work tirelessly to elect those who will oppose the Democrats and their leftist agenda. Organize, write political electees and your local newspapers, call in to radio programs, call your political electees, hold events, mobilize people to stand up against this onslaught on our freedoms. If you don't counteract their organizing efforts, they will take away everything that we hold dear, while we stand helplessly by and watch it happen.

"And so in these opening days of the administration, the Obama team finds itself being criticized by bloggers on the left and the right, mocked by television comics and questioned by reporters about whether Mr. Obama is really changing the way Washington works or just changing which political party works it."

I never voted for Barack Hussein Obama. I never believed in his nebulous, undefined slogans of "Hope and Change" and "Hope You Can Believe In". Those were just political messages intended to resonate with the yearning masses who wanted to be free from business as usual in Washington.

I predicted at the time that the only change would be from a conservative Republican leadership to a socialist Democrat leadership. That's exactly what we got. Now, we are saddled with the Democrats running both the executive and legistlative branches of our government, and ramming one socialist piece of legistlation after another down our throats faster than we can swallow the previous one.

I recognized Obama's "hope and change" slogan for what it really was -- hype and chains.

While hyping the idea that he might usher in a more ethical government with better people, he instead opted for the same old Democrat players with all of their attendand tax problems and ethically challenged special interests. While hyping that he intended to represent the ordinary, everyday working citizens, instead of tossing out the lobbyists, he just traded the Republican set for a Democrat set. While hyping that he would make American strong and respected in the world again, he ran all over the world apologizing and declaring that the United States of America was a terrible country, a country of Muslim-haters and abusers of innocent civilians in other countries. While hyping that he would stand up to our enemies, he instead made a point of befriending the despots and tyrants who have plagued the world for decades.

That was the hype portion of the slogan.

On the chains side, Obama made sure that Republicans and conservatives have no voice in his government. Debate is cut off, and legislation is rammed through, not only without debate, but without even being read by those who are voting on it! As quickly as possible, our freedoms are being abolished. The free markets are being bought up by government loans with powerful steel cables -- forget strings! -- attached, resulting in the Obama administration running those companies foolish enough to buy into the strategy.

I am predicting nothing less than the takeover by government of all major facets of American life: finance, energy, transportaiton, industry, healthcare, education and even religion.

We will borrow only what the government says that we can borrow, use only the amount and types of energy that the government approves, travel only in the types of transportation that the government allows, perform only the work that government says we should perform, receive only the kinds and amounts of healthcare that the government dictates, be schooled in only those things that the government says are important, and religiously speak and practice only those things that the government decides are not destructive and are conducive to the liberal, leftist view of America and the world.

My sense of things is that Obama's hope and change is really hype and chains for the average American citizen.

I am gravely concerned for our freedoms and the future of this once-great country.
